Muuñ

Muuñ

Muuñ was born in 2004 after a chance collision of two worlds – that of Tahiru, an expert in the traditional art of straw weaving, and Audrey, a fashion consultant in the Japanese market.

Coming to life in Nyariga, Northern Ghana, and ending its journey in France, the Muuñ straw bag brings together a community of artisanal leatherworkers, spinners, weavers and assemblers, who work in harmony with the Scandinavian design and Japanese minimalism synonymous with the brand. The bags are unique for the detachable fabric pouches nestled inside, each one hand-sewn by people with disabilities working for ISTA.
